Capital Raising Director/Senior Director

Our client is an Asian leading private equity firm focusing on growth-stage companies involved in modern logistics services, digital supply chain, renewable energy and related tech. Based in Hong Kong you will be leading and executing capital raising efforts for the firm's USD fund.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Capital Raising Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive capital raising strategy aligned with the organization's growth objectives, with a specific focus on raising funds from institutions, family offices, and banks.

2. Investor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors, including institutions, family offices, and banks. Leverage personal connections and networks to identify and engage with potential investors.

3. Due Diligence: Conduct rigorous due diligence on potential investors, including assessing their financial capabilities, investment preferences, and risk appetite. Evaluate investor fit with the organization's objectives and investment criteria.

4. Marketing and Presentations: Prepare compelling marketing materials and presentations to effectively communicate the organization's investment opportunities and value proposition to potential investors. Tailor presentations to specific investor preferences and requirements.

5. Fundraising Execution: Lead the end-to-end capital raising process, including managing investor inquiries, conducting investor meetings and roadshows, negotiating terms and agreements, and overseeing the closing process. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

6. Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and investor preferences in the Asian market. Conduct research and analysis to identify fundraising opportunities and potential investors.

7. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including senior management, legal, finance, and marketing, to ensure alignment and support for capital raising initiatives. Coordinate with external parties, such as legal counsel and financial advisors, as needed.

8. Reporting and Tracking: Maintain accurate records of investor interactions, fundraising progress, and key metrics. Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Private Equity Experience: Strong background in private equity, with a deep understanding of capital raising strategies and investor relations.

2. Investor Network: Well-established network of institutional investors, family offices, and banks, particularly in the Asian market.

3. Track Record: Proven track record of successfully raising capital and closing deals. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed fundraising targets.

4. Asia Focus: In-depth knowledge of the Asian market, including investor preferences, regulatory environment, and cultural nuances.

5. Sales and Communication Skills: Excellent sales and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment opportunities and build relationships with investors.

6. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills to evaluate potential investors and investment opportunities.
